Oak Patch Farm was established in 2013. We were the first to set foot on the land in many years. As soon as we laid eyes upon it he knew that it was the perfect place. Throughout the three years our family has owned the property we they have sculpted the land into a beautiful homestead which has many animals that graze the fine land such as sheep, chickens, ducks, goats, cats, dogs, and the two surviving Guinea hens. There are also many wild animals that visit and live on the beautiful land. The hunters of the family hunt the wild white tail that live and traverse across the property. There are also many predators that live on the land which pose a constant threat to the livestock that dwell on the property. These predators include coyotes, opossums, raccoons, hawks, and skunks. Thanks to our wonderful guardian dogs, Poppy and Castle, and their young apprentices, Turner and Hootch the sheep are safe from all of the predators that roam the land.
On the property there are two large pastures and two others that are currently being cleared. We recently added seven new raised beds which are home to many types of plants such as a plethora of tomatoes, onions, radishes, strawberries, lettuce, and chard. The garden is surrounded by dozens of fruit trees that produce apples, pears, plums, and peaches. There are also two ponds that are home to many large mouth bass and perch.
